Google plus is now open to all which means now you can get a taste of the amazing social networking site without any friend requests or invitations. Yes that's true, grab you account immediately. http://plus.google.com

In a bid to get a share of social networking sites the latest product of Google, The Google + project, has had 20 million unique visitors since its launch, including five million visitors from the U.S. A as estimated by Web-traffic watcher comScore Inc. The estimates are based on a “global measurement panel” of two million Internet users, similar to the approach Nielsen uses to measure television ratings. Though the users are less compared to 720 million of facebook and 200 million of twitter, Google got this mark on around 3 weeks with its limited trial period where only friend invited people could join.

With Google+, Google is aiming to match rivals like Facebook, which used personal information posted by its members to create a multibillion-dollar advertising business that lets marketers target specific demographic groups or people with certain interests. Google also hopes the service can become a home for brands and celebrities. And the data Google obtains about people’s interests could also help it change the way its Web-search engine works.

The site is gaining popularity among the social networkers with its simplistic approach including the Sparks feature where we can control our feeds of different interests and the "Circle" concept which is a hybrid feature including parts from twitter followers and the facebook friends and the best of all "Hangouts” feature, that lets people do “video chats” using their computer webcams, speaking to numerous friends simultaneously.

In addition to adding numerous features over time, Google will eventually allow software developers to create “social” games and other applications that would run on top of Google+, similar to Facebook’s successful “platform” for applications. And with rumored $100+ million share on Zynga, you should not be surprised to play Empires and Allies or Cityville on your google plus account in incoming days.
